This year, the European Circuit is being welcomed to the wine capital of the world by the Bar of Bordeaux.
As usual the conference will include high-quality discussions around a broad range of topics of interest to practitioners across Europe including legal issues relating to sports, arts and culture and modern challenges in dispute resolution. We will return to further aspects of AI, building on our discussions at last year’s conference in Prague, and will also look at challenging cross-border issues in family law and recent elections in France, UK and EU and their impact. The conference will also include a visit to a local court.
Delegates will enjoy a drinks reception at the Cité du Vin in the Latitude 20 wine bar (with a cellar containing a unique range of wines from more than 70 countries) and a closing dinner at the stunning restaurant L’Estacade on the banks of the Gironde.
The event will be opened by Thibault Saint-Martin on behalf of the Bâtonnier of the Bar of Bordeaux, who will then join Barbara Mills KC, Vice Chair of the Bar of England and Wales, Darren Lehane SC, Vice Chair of the Bar of Ireland, and Robert Němec, President of the Czech Bar Association, in a bar leaders discussion panel.
Our AGM will take place on 20 September

Litigating cross-border contracts: an art market perspective
